Webinars

David Carmichael has developed two webinars – 1) Making Informed Choices About Prescription Drug Use, and 2) Choosing to Say No to a Prescription Drug.

Making Informed Choices About Prescription Drug Use

Some prescription drugs can do more harm than good.

David will explain why it is important for you to ask your doctor questions about the most serious and common side effects before a drug is prescribed, and how critical it is to research the side effects of a drug before getting your prescription filled. He will also explain why it is important for consumers (parents, guardians or caregivers) to report ADRs (adverse drug reactions) to government regulators.

Choosing to Say No to a Prescription Drug

If you choose not to get a prescription filled after questioning your doctor about the side effects of a prescription drug and doing your own research, it is important for you to understand the implications. Many alternatives can be difficult to access, largely because of the dominant influence that the pharmaceutical industry has on the healthcare system.

David will talk about the implications of saying no to a prescription drug, and will share his insight into finding alternatives to prescription drugs for treating physical and mental health conditions.
